Meet The Founders

Cheeks is not just Erin but did you know that Cheeks and Squeaks started as a dynamic duo?  Established in  2016, we are two ladies with a passion for all things Syrian Hamsters! Our original team was made up of Erin, located in Orange County, and Tony, Located in Ventura County. Tony is now the co-founder of Tiny Tracks Rescue and devotes all of her hamster time there rescuing mostly dwarf hamsters. Erin is still breeding and loving every minute of it while partnering with Monica at Happy Paws Hamstery.

We met at a California Hamster Association Hamster show in 2015 and became fast friends bonding over our mutual love of hamsters in addition to lamenting about the lack of quality hamster education available to new hamster owners.

When Linda Price retired from the CHA and her hamstery, AAA Hamsters, we spent months discussing what will happen to this line of amazing Hamsters. After careful consideration and the advice of Strong Brew Hamstery owner, Julianna, we decided we had to give it a shot and breed. Linda Price, Julianna Rock and Amy Wu have all been mentors and an amazing support system in this big adventure.  Now we have a network of amazing breeders that are partners in this adventure as well. Cheeks is a direct partner with Happy Paws Hamstery, also located in Orange County.
